Senior MongoDB Engineer
Job opportunity
Our customer is looking for experienced MongoDB engineers who can fill multiple needs within their organization, including Subject Matter Experts (SME’s) and individual contributors to join their development team.
Responsibilities
Because our client is looking for assistance with multiple positions, responsibilities will vary but may include:
- Design systems, applications, and infrastructure to help drive software development projects using MongoDB
- Advise stakeholders and teams on architectures, patterns, and strategies for making the best use of MongoDB
- Optimize performance and ensure high availability and disaster recovery.
- Collaborate with various development teams to understand application requirements and provide database design guidance.
- Develop and maintain MongoDB monitoring tools to ensure system availability and performance.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in the MongoDB and NoSQL database space.
- Assist with the development and creation of documentation, articles and educational materials for software development best practices involving MongoDB.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in designing, developing, and maintaining MongoDB databases at scale.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, Java, or Node.js.
- Strong understanding of MongoDB security and authentication mechanisms.
- Experience with cloud-based MongoDB deployments, preferably in AWS or Azure.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues in a production environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- MongoDB certifications preferred.
